About this project
We had the pleasure to work with Nespresso for their IFA 2008 show booth to create the art and software of their interactive bar.
The challenges on our side was Just like in a traditional bar, hostesses were serving coffee and welcoming the visitors. Once installed at the bar, the consumer could use its interactive display to learn about Nespresso, their Grands Crus and their coffee machines with a very natural and intuitive interface.
Our goal was to combine the pleasure of receiving information in an innovative manner, and the experience perceived in the Nespresso space.

This project demanded a very robust software since more than ten thousands cups of coffee have been served at the two bars of the exhibition. Graphics quality also had to be at its best to meet the standards and requirements of the Nespresso brand.
The operation of the bar was based on two mechanisms. The first one was a tracking system that could identify objects with specific markers, although hand manipulation could be used as well. The second mechanism was the camera and projector hardware embedded in the bar.
